Today I’m on the train to London.
Three weeks today we’ll be setting up our stand in Cheltenham Races Shopping Village. Yikes!!
I’ve had some gorgeous silks printed with some bespoke designs that I commissioned Sheri Lennon, my good friend and talented illustrator, to do. I’m popping to London today to see how the luxury brands display and fold and present their silks.
I want to check out ticketing and labelling and bags also. Head fit to burst with ideas. I LOVE IT. I just need to narrow it all down. I think this trip will hopefully help settle my mind about where I’m aiming the brand, where it needs to sit, and also what it’ll sit next to and compare to in the clients minds. I’m hoping to have on the stand a mix of accessories for men and women.
Ties, scarves, cravats, bowties etc.
Always love a trip to London. I have to admit that time on the train with little wifi and pretty much zero phone signal can feel like an escape in itself. I love getting a day out to spend time on the business rather than in it. And in it is always up to the eye balls in it! No half way house!
So bring it on, London bound!
(… 30 minutes later then planned due to car parks saying Full, that weren’t, out of order ticket machines, mean men at gates, worlds s l o w e s t printing ticket machine ever- but here, bum on seat, on the train. Sweaty and out of breath and very much in need of coffee- but happy to get some freedom for the day- at last!)
